Hello there Bass Guys and all Anglers ... well i got back out to beaver Sunday afternoon and gave it a go for about 4 hours .. weather was good , and the lake wasn't really crowded . As for the bass action , well to be honest i would have to say that it's not easy to get bit out right now . I managed to get four bites , three dinks and one nice 3 pounder . I quickly picked up on the fact that if your not fishing "wood" and skipping right up to the bank your not gone to get bit . The action is not on fire yet but there are some catchable fish . I probably will not be getting back out there for about another three weeks , by then all the bass should be feeding much better .. so there ya have boyz ... may your next bass be your best bass and stay safe ... BBD

Thanks for the report Dez! Since I can't fish as often as you, I follow your reports to gauge when I should get out there. I was thinking its still a bit to cold and too early for bass to be really active and hungry. Now if I could only figure out your secret color! LOL

i notice that that lake is FULL of dinks....
I've seen a few big ones in the spring, but have yet to hook into anything on that lake over 2lbs

Dez (or any other bass guys), I am a rookie bass fisherman, but would like to be able to enjoy this lake after the trout bite dies off and it does so in a hurry (for me at least). Any advice as to what kind of gear to use to land a few bass? Not looking for your secrets just some general advice for a rookie. Please be specific as I don't know the lingo for bass geat.

Thanks leroy , as far as color selection goes i use a basic system . "GO DARK" .. that can apply to many dark colors and they all work .. / Sam that lk in dink city no dout but i have found that if you can get you bait in the tight spots and non typical areas thats where im finding size out there .. dont cast in front of the dock , go under it . dont flip at a wood skipp over it up to the bank .. just a few suggestions .. cant wait to hit up pine lk ...
