Went to Lake Washington sunday after saturdays good weather hoping the Perch were up a little shallower. Well they werent. I went from the pier off seward park fish from 8am to 12pm and had no bites.
Then there were trout-looking (not sure if the were trout, but proboly) fish jumping all in front of the pier for about 15 minutes than they stopped. I tied on a spinner when i saw them, and didnt hook any of them. One time one did follow it nearly to the pier, and i saw a silver flash and it was gone.

So overall..Perch are still deep, and there are trout jumping. Hope thats helpful to someone..

And 1 question if anyone knows..Last May there were trout or salmon or something jumping around from Seward Park to the I90 bridge on every pier i fish..they might have been other places, but i didnt fish anywhere else so i dont know..but any way, i was able to hook about 4, a few inches bigger than stocked rainbows in other lakes, and put them back cause i didnt know what they were, and my brother hooked a huge..i mean silver sized 8-10lb one that went to the dock, jumped, and broke the line. I think they stopped jumping in early june. Any one know what they are?

In answer to your question, you were most likely seeing a few early sockeye in there. Thats all I can think of that matches your description. Hope that helps
