Today my buddy and I headed down to Green Lake from around 3:00pm - 5:30om to spend a little time fishing and see what we can catch out there. It was a little cloudy and had a few rain showers here and there, but we decided to go anyways. I started out trolling from the L Dock by the stadium with my copper Kastmaster, and my buddy was using the 2 yellow powereggs on a hook method. After 30 minutes of trolling my Kastmater as i was just getting ready to bring up my lure, i saw a trout about 11 - 12" chasing my lure, so i left it there jigging it but all it did was bump my lure and swam out. So my friend casted out his power eggs out and after 3 minutes of letting it sit, he had a huge bite on his 7 foot ugly stick but he didn't land it. What a bummer. Although we had a lot of bites today and we actually brought up a little planter trout about 8-9 inches. We're definitely heading out there again someday this week.
