It's been about 35 yrs since I last fished this lake, a lot has changed. Anyways my brother and I got on the lake about 0600,while he was setting his line I cast out with a small weight with about 24" leader, I got slammed with a very nice rainbow, it ended being the biggest of the day. My brother was using a needlefish and had his share of hits and eventually got his limit. He wanted to row his little dinghy even though I offered him my trolling motor, he said he wanted exercise, anyways he got his hits trolling, I got almost all of mine when there was a break so I just cast and did a slow retrieve, I almost wanted to fish off a friends dock but I don't really hang out with my brother to often so I just enjoyed the scenery and watching ospreys and eagles pick off fish, quite the sight. All and all it was a perfect day; not as crowded as I have heard, the bird of prey spectacular, catching fish was just a bonus, will be out there again with my family, very surreal setting

Like I said, it's been 35 years since I last came out here, did not leave disappointed. Went again on Sunday and got skunked but the highlight was watching an osprey snag a fish. No big deal if you've seen it before and I have, but what made this unusual was someone had the fish on his line, when the osprey grabbed it, probably will never see that again. Another bonus was meeting my brother's friend that lives on the lake with a dock and a place to launch a boat, definitly go back, may not always catch fish but it is so surreal out there, will be back later this year with my daughter.
