Like Fishingmachine already said, the crowds weren't too bad today. I attempted to hunt down some bass , but ended up joining the rest of the crowd going for trout. I once swore I'd never trout fish... in the end I tried something new and had a great time doing it. All in all I'd say I caught & released roughly 30 fingerling planters (8-10".) I switched to my ultralight setup after accepting the reality that there weren't many big ones to be had and the fun factor increased tenfold. The water has definitely been warming up as of late; today it rose from ~53* @ 11am to as high as 57* @ 5pm. The water varied from heavily stained to nearly clear depending on which part of the lake you were at.
I met quite a few anglers today and learned quite bit. I saw Fishingmachine as he was leaving... dude, you need to distribute your weight a little better in that Livingston; I seriously thought you were about to sink that thing.

yeah the weight was bad today because i usually have a person in the front and such so it was bad and nice to see u out there

Haha, that's hilarious. You do have to be careful in those livingston boats with weight distribution...maybe the battery could add weight up forward...or an anchor, or put a couple sand bags in there, so you don't have the bow up at a 30 degree angle. Good report ER. I wonder why some areas were murky and some clean? Did you find the fish to bite equally in the cloudy vs. clear water?
