Went fishing on West Medical Lake this morning. The fishing was alright from about 5:30 to 7:00 this morning but after that the boat traffic was to much to fish off the shore. The water was very cold this morning, it was actually freezing on my poll as I reeled in my line. The guy next to me was fishing with power bait and was catching fish right and left off the shore behind the docks. Fishing with bobbers didn't seem to be the method that worked but I did manage to snag a 17 inch rainbow off the shore. Lots of boats and traffic on the lake I'm expecting the lake to be more shore fishing friendly in the next couple of weeks when the boat traffic dies down. People were catching fish off the docks most of the day but they were hardly worth keeping. Talked to a biologist about the fish deposit this year and found out that a lot less fish were put into the lake this year. So next year should yield many keepers. Happy fishing everyone.
