Me and a buddy of mine took the pontoons to Carlisle today to catch some trout. We got there around 10:00 and I decided to try for bass for a while. I fished for about 30 yards past the boat launch and got my first hook up. It weighed 3.5 pounds and fought quite well. I released that fish and fished for about twenty more yards and hooked into this pig. It weighed 6pounds 12ounces and actually didn't fight quite as hard as the smaller one but still managed to tow my pontoon around a little. After the pic, it was released. I tried to keep fishing for bass but the wind picked up and anybody that owns a pontoon knows that they are extremely difficult to control in the wind. We fished spinners for awhile for trout and caught probably 7 or 8 fish apiece, none of which were very sizable. I then switched to a worm under a bobber and caught my limit worth of trout. This was all in a matter of probably less than 4 hours. Both bass were caught on senkos.
