I got to Pine Lake around 1:00 pm. I thought no way but as soon as I got the line wet they were chompin all day. I kept one over 14 inches but caught 9 others that were smaller. I can't stand it when you see three or four guys taken thier limit on stockers. That's not the point, let em go, thier much better at 3-4 pounds, maybe you've never got one that big and don't know what it's like to actually have a trout dinner instead of a snack.

Cory,
If you caught nine fish using bait, then YOU are the one breaking the law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All fish caught on bait, whether released or kept, are counted toward your limit of FIVE.

It seems like this is constant problem when I go out to area lakes. I keep an eye on other people just to make sure these fish aren't abused. Remember, even if your lure is scented, that counts toward your limit of 5, so even if you catch 5 fish on a Hotshot with Smelly Jelly, you have to stop fishing. When you catch them on bait their mortality rate is much higher than if you were to catch them on lures with a single hook, pinched-barb, or pinched-barb fly. Using power eggs, 5 fish and stop fishing, then you're all good and legal. Better yet just use unscented lures and fish all day :)

I acutally like the taste of the stockers better than the holdovers. The stocker meat seems to be fresher.
