Hooked up with Shawn to check out a couple of lakes (Ludlow, Kitsap, Island) and we decided to try our luck at Island. After driving around awhile looking at Ludlow then Kitsap, we were on the water at Island at about 4pm.
Both of us float tubed the lake until dark. Shawn did very well flyfishing for trout and lost count of how many he hooked and landed. Mostly stockers and only one that had any great size to it. I did the usual bass hunt around the lake searching for a pattern and ended up tossing a T-rigged senko and landing a couple of bass. Biggest was around 2lbs.
We saw and talked to quite a few people who where doing well on the trout all over the lake. Everything from trolling to PB soaking from shore. Hope to see you on the water.
