Since I missed opening weekend due to attending a respiratory care conference in Seattle....I thought I would try to get in some fishing prior to working night shift. It was sunny and warm when I left but when I actually got to the lake there was a pretty chilly breeze. I threw in and about 40 minutes later it started snowing! I hadn't brought a jacket so I decided instead to pack it up. There was a few jumps here and there and I noticed the lily pads hadn't grown up very much yet. The water was still pretty cold as well. All wasn't completely lost, I did get a pretty nice picture. On the way home I decided to stop by the Spokane Lake launch and see what the area is like. There was a guy fishing the Little Spokane take out site and asked me if I had any worms I could sell so I just gave him mine since I didn't know when I would get to go fishing again.
