Hit Pine today from 2:30 to 5. Had a good day, caught and released 30 trout ranging from 8-12 inches. Caught 8 in the 12 inch range, and there is no doubt when you get a 12 er on instead of a 8er. Did the best with a size 12 yeager bugger, looks like a wooly bugger but has a maribou tail, a little more streamer looking. I would troll really slow, and then speed up from time to time. Kutthroatkilla is right when he says that they were just nipping at the fly, they were really hitting it with a subtle nip. I learned that if they would hit it and miss I would grab the pole and jig the fly a little and 80 percent of the time they would come back and hit it. There were a ton of boats out on the water, this was my first time at Pine and it was much smaller than I pictured it. Great day on the water and great weather for fishing, even got a little tan.
