Arrived at the launch at 7:30 a.m
The creek was only a foot and a half deep.
But we got are boat in anyway. 3/4 the way up the
creek there was a beaver dam. We spent a good 1/2
an hour pulling the boat over the top of it, being
as careful as possible not to damage it! Success!
Made it to the lake at 9:15 a.m.
To my great disappointment this shallow lake had
turned over. I knew then it was going to be rough fishing.
I threw out all my lures, nothing! So I went back to my old
stand by, jig & a worm. Caught some perch and some bullheads and
one crappie, nothing worth bragging about. All bass were under
ten inches. This lake holds promise, I will go back next year
I think in late may or early June. Scenery and wildlife are
