Arrived at Tanwax at about 6:00 am. No one else hanging out at the Camp Lakeview dock, had it to myself for a couple hours. Decided to do some experimentation with a bobber and fly. Used a clear bobber and an olive colored wooly bugger on my new light-action rod. Didn't catch any fish with it, however they did seem rather interested. Not really in the fly...more in the bobber. The fish must be retarded or something in Tanwax as they kept hitting the bobber and not the fly...kinda funny.
Got bored with them trying to eat the bobber and switched over to a bobber and nightcrawler. Got my limit in about an hour and a half. No monsters, yet again. Thirteen inches being the longest and the smallest being an eight inch dink that impaled itself on my hook by accident.
Tossed around a 1/8oz. gold polished kastmaster, a few bumps, but no serious takers. Cleaned my fishies, lost one as it squirted out of my hands back into the water, and left by 8:30. Looks to be a nice day to get out on the water...too bad I have to work.
