Launched out of the North County launch at about 6:15 with my brother-in-law, no other trailers in the lot yet, but one guy was fishing on the dike west of the launch. Met up with 2000Subaru and his wife out on the water. Fished the usual spots and found a new honey hole (with another one on-deck for the next trip). I think we'll call this one Gilligan's Island since the original name seemed a little too obvious. There is an interesting mix of aquatic life in this location... quite nice and very promising. I saw the biggest muskie I have ever seen in person. It was just about 3' down swimming around our boat after it followed a jig to the surface. It gave me the evil eye before swimming away. My brother-in-law finally broke his personal curse of the lake and started catching some fish. I did quite well on numbers on this trip, but the sizes were a little smaller than usual.

Hay dilbert how deep are the fish you have been finding. Everything we get are at least 10' over a 18' bottom.

Where you find the smallies the tigers will follow.

Most of the fish we have caught have been in around 10-15' of water, however there were several in around 5'.

I forgot to mention in the report that I caught my first fish on my hand poured and painted football jigs. They are crawfish-a-riffic and the muskies seem to like them too. I also had the first fish on my new baitcasting setup.
