Make a note: when fishing Lake Stevens, GET THERE EARLY AND LEAVE BEFORE 10:00 AM. I was running super late today and didn't launch the dinghy until 10:00AM. There were already a shload of ski boats and jet skis on the water, and it only got worse from there. Talk about rock and roll! Sometimes I was so busy fishing that I forgot to watch for incoming tidal waves (go figure) -- and I *almost* got swamped by a few that hit me broadside. The relatively strong winds didn't help either. I've got a big deep cycle battery and it was pretty much drained -- which is hard to do! But I digress...

The fishing was slow. It may have been better in the morning??? I tried various small crankbaits, shakey head jigs, spinnerbaits, in-line spinners, rapalas, and marabou jigs. Not one single bass, but I "accidentally" caught 3 small trout on spinners. At least I didn't get skunked...

Last year me and a buddy was fishing Panther lake slashing the shore line when a skier went past us and turned around 10' from the shore and came right in front of us and then turned straight to us I stood up waving and yelling the driver never looked I was about to jump out of the boat when a passenger saw us and then the driver turned 10' away from us I quickly sat down and braced for the wave. That was too close so now I bring a horn flairs and a shot gun I cut out the shot but they don't know that. I'm waiting for the next one!
