Stopped at Jameson Lake to see what it was looking like in the early afternoon.Drove to the big Game Dept. access area to scope out the water.Did not look very good, water color was off brown like grass carp were rooting up the bottom or heavy irrigation run off.Casted out with some chrome spoons for about 1/2 hour and no bumps for my cousin or myself.Decided not to camp for the night but stopped to fish the south end on the way out.Water color was on the clear side with about 4-6 ft visibility. We did manage to catch & release a few fish apiece, but since we needed to get going to our secret lakes up north,we only fished for about 40 minutes and did not try any other areas.I really feel sorry for the resorts here because there were only a few campers at Jack's,when in the past this place would be packed.Does anybody know why the water color was so ugly since there really has not been any extreme heat.Anyways,I will try this lake again in the future because of all the great times I have experienced there

The brown color seems to be from the farms on the north end of the lake. It is similar to other lakes that have high people or farms around them. There is not enough of a buffer between the farm animals and fields (chemicals from them running into the lake). My cousin and I discussed this and gave up. He has seen similar water in the Vancouver, WA (clark co) part of the state.
