Damn snowmelt!! Last year we hit the lake on June 10, and the spawn was over and still managed to wack thirty bass on topwaters at sunset and troll with crankbaits in the afternoon. This year it was at 56F and they were deep and not biting at all
. A big thunderhead approached from Canada, and we boogied out of there, only to find Palmer Lake colder (52F) and in worse shape ...coffee colored with 2' visibility. We didn't even try it and chose to camp that night, and drive back to Seattle
in the AM. Bummer!
