I FINALY CAUGHT A CUTTHROAT (and released it)!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup. I feel proud now, haha. The fish fought really good, i saw my bobber go sideways really fast, then down and i set the hook. It pulled out a lot of line before i got it close. When it got toward the shore, it took a nice jump, and that's when i really got excited, seeing that bright silver fish in the air. Yeah, I'm kinda glorifying it, but it was so great. When i brought it in i had a great feeling of accomplishment. It wasn't very long, maybe 17 inches (idk I'm not good at guessing)? It was really thick though, my dad told me it looked to be maybe a pound and a half.
We had got there about 6:00pm, and it was a great day to fish. It was kinda warm, with the whole sky cloudy, and lightly sprinkling. This time we fished from shore at the State Park. Great for fishing at least to me. We we trying to go for crappie, cause like I've said in my last few reports my dad is on a mission for a Western Washington crappie. After we spread out a little bit, i snuck a night crawler on my hook and threw it out there. After sitting about 15, i see the bobber moving super fast to the side, and then the story above happens.
Lots of salmon smolt jumping.
Hey kutt, if you read this, didn't you say something about the smot making the cutts come in to feed or something?, or was i just lucky? I really didn't expect to get on of those guys.
BTW, no other fish
no pic either, my dad doesn't trust bringing the camera in the rain :( but it was a beautiful fish.
