I arrived at the Jerry's Landing at about 7:15 in the morning. The water remained a slightly stained color all day. The weather started off nice and sunny. I first decided to drop my line off the dock and catch something underneath for about 15 min. before switching to a spinnerbait. I cast and retrieved it anywhere from near the other dock, different parts of the shoreline, and from outwards from the lake. I didn't get a bite on anything, so I decided just to have a fun day and catch sunfish. I started off with only a popper, but somebody was nice enough to give me a weighted bobber and jig. By casting near the shoreline between the docks and towards the fence line near the resort borders on the northern side, I began to catch fish. I caught roughly 150 pumpkinseed sunfish (for some reason, no bluegill at all) and 2 perch by about 2:50 or so. The pumpkin seeds ranged from 3 - 6 1/2 inches and the perch were both around 8 inches. Other people in boats had much better luck; someone brought back a 3 lb. largemouth bass and another around 80 perch. By the time I left, it was overcast and the wind was blowing; fish weren't feeding as well. It was actually a lot of fun. The community that was at the lake was very friendly and I hope to return there again to see if I can catch something better.
