Trolled Potholes for 2 days over the weekend.

Saturday: trolled from 10am -3pm in Lind Coulee. It took us a little while to find the fish, but once we found them it was non stop. In about 2 hours we managed 7 walleye and 2 smallies. The walleyes weren't huge, all about 17" and the bass were about 13". We trolled a double whammy and a walleye pop with a gold smile blade at 1.2 mph.

Sunday: trolled in the same place from about 9am - 11am. Were only able to make one pass over our hole before the wind picked up and we had to make the long troll back into the wind. Long story short our batteries died and we had to row. But in that 1 pass we were able to pick up a walleye. Just wish the wind was on our side.

SWEET GPC. NOTHING LIKE SOME EATERS!!! I HIT SCOOTNEY, MESA LAKE, AND, LOWER SCOOTNEY WHILE PLAYING BALL IN MOSES LAKE. FILLED MY FREEZER WITH PERCH. C&R'D A TON OF BASS AT MESA LAKE. THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A GOOD CRAPPIE LAKE, BUT, IT WAS MOSTLY PERCH & BASS. GOING TO HIT POTHOLES THIS WEEK-END. DID YOU TRY THEM NASTY LEECHES OR JUST WORMS ON THE WHAMMY'S???

Thanks guys. It had been almost 2 months since I had been to the potholes, so it fealt really good fishing there again, But eating those walleye was 10 times better. Those have to be my favorite fish of all time when it comes to table fair.
