The GF, a buddy, and I decided to head out to Mineral Lake today, with the intention of renting a boat. We got there at a little over 11AM. We decided to rent a pontoon. Easy process.
There is a lot of fish action on top of the water. Jumping all over the place. But from what I can tell, the majority of them are small fishes. 9-13".
I kept throwing kastmasters and roostertails. The GF tried kastmasters, but eventually gave up and went to powereggs. We started my buddy with a bobber and "power worms".
After about an hr on the pontoon, we finally figured out the motor had a throttle.... LOL we were wondering why it was so damn slow, it would take us the entire day to get around the lake.
The GF caught 3 on green powereggs. My buddy eventually caught 1, on the powerworms, and missed 1. I caught 5 or 6 on my kastmasters and roostertails. I had more fishes on the roostertail though.
We didn't catch anything big. The smallest was around 9". The biggest was about 13". Fished from 11-6 on the pontoon.
As we were pulling in the pontoon, we did see a fellow catch one off the dock, that was roughly 14-15".
