My lady and I decided to try out Little Cranberry after recently discovering it (thanks to this site!).
We fished mid/late afternoon, sunny, warm.
We concentrated on bass, using a few different crank baits, poppers, tex-rigged worms, and a few other odds and ends. We were fishing from shore, stopping ever 50 yards or so and casting out for a few minutes. Overall time spent on the lake was about 1-1.5 hours. No fish.
I hate giving the lake a "bad" rating, because it was still a good day even though no fish were caught. It's a great place to just "escape" for a little bit, with plenty of other wildlife and trails to enjoy. The trails were active with hikers. A few of them stopped and chatted with us for a few minutes -- apparently there hasn't been a lot of luck on the lake the past few weeks.
When leaving the lake, we did watch one family pull it a few SMALL fish...looked like perch. Not keepers by any means.
I do plan to come back again, and would recommend it if you're nearby....even if you don't have a pole.
