Tried Green Lake for Bass on my canoe Friday afternoon. First time targeting bass at Green lake, thought it was a good time , since the spawn is going on. What I found out is that Green lake sucks for Bass, didn't see one new or old bed. Saw bunch of trout and carp. If your looking for a small lake for bass near the city try Bitter Lake, I've pulled some nice ones out of there.

kzoo,, have you pulled any of the rock bass out of bitter (this year) in the past couple of years it has been hot for small fish, but I went to Bitter about 1 week ago, and didn't see a thing.

Hey kzoo,
my brother and I fished Green lake for a few days when we were in seattle (I'm from Hamburg, Germany). There are uncoutable dinks in the shallow water. Maybe 20m away from shore, the water flowers (I don't know if it's right in english) starts. And right infront of them you should try it, my bro caught a 19"er on a Spinnerbait.
We were there in fall, so maybe you should try it at that time.

I thought this place would have more bass than that, I looked half of the shore line at Green including the lily pads and didn't see or catch anything. I was out a few weeks ago on sure and saw one on the south T-dock hanging out. Don't get me wrong, there's bass in Green, but I think you'll have a better chance on catching one somewhere else.
I haven't been to Bitter this year, Only thing about the rock bass, they usually spawn after the bass, maybe wait a little bit, they should be there.
