Fished Ballinger from 2:30 to 4:30pm, with the kid. More fish blood was spilled in the porta-bote. Took 30 minutes before we started hooking into them pretty good. One spot seemed to be hot, on the east side of the island, between it and the public dock (marked the hotspot). Caught 4 rainbows, missed one, 3 were chunky foot longs, the other was 10.5 inches. Used green wedding rings, no bait, and one rod had pop gear, the other had just the lure, but both poles caught fish. We even had a double on -- so sweet, thought the second pole was hung up on the first, but double action it turned out to be.

Weather was a little drizzly. Water temp read 65, but I think my meter is high. About 10 boats in the water, about 10 bank anglers. Trolled at about 1.3-1.4 mph. I was quite please for two hours on the water. Rain and dinner time ended the fun.
