I arrived at the lake at 5:30 AM. and was surprised to see the public access completely empty. Launched my pontoon and along with my #5 rod and type II WFS with 9' tapered leader, preceded to drown a bead head black woolly bugger about 30 feet behind the Pawnee. the "BOWS" were eager to please. With slow pulls on the oars I had all the action a guy could ask for. In the four hours that I was there I caught and released 12 of the feisty 10 to 12 inchers had as many to the boat before they wiggled off and countless hits, only because I was too slow to grab the rod. What great day on the water.
