Fished today (Monday) from 8:00 am to about 2:00. Had a great day fishing w/ my friend Mike. Caught 7 cutts, plus numerous missed takedowns. Of the 7, two got off next to the boat, & one smaller one, apprx 14" was released. Kept four - all from about 17 to19 inches. One pic of Mike & a fish, & the other pic shows the largest one.

Had one REALY nice fish on, which got away. He was peeling more line off, than any other fish that I've had on, on this lake. He hit the release, & the rod only slightly came up, then went back down hard. He was a real head-jerker - then he just started taking out line, pausing, then running again. Finally, as I was maintaining tension on the line, I felt him really start jerking,.......then the line went slack. I never saw him - never even got him close to boat - in fact, he was much further away from the boat, then when he first got on. Anyways - I'm not one much for the, "One that got away" stories, but I believe he was one the "Big Ones". He fought harder & took out much more line, than the 4 1/2 pounder, 21" incher, that I caught last week. Oh well - I'll get 'em this summer.

Finally, interesting thing was - I caught no blackmouth today. Last night I caught 3, but no cutts. Today, all cutts & no blackmouth. Hmmmm
