started on water about 630am. intermittent rain throughout till about 1130am. water was around 57 degrees. started off bassing along the docks and coves with rapalas, spinners, and senkos. first cast with shad rapala got me a 1.5lb SMB, my partner caught another one while casting out a flatfish with splitshot. only 1 other SMB after that and it was a dink caught with same rapala.

then we went for kokanees by anchoring. caught about 18 kokes 11-12" in less than an hour and 2 bows. have not been to this lake and not limited on kokes in about 30 consecutive trips since 2006.

im really not supposed to tell anyone what we do to catch the kokes (per the wise angler who showed me his ways). but i will tell you it involves chum (which is legal at this lake)

There weren't many people on the lake today at that time. Where you in a small aluminum boat? Left just after the wind started blowing really good? What part of the lake did you anchor? I need to make new anchor lines because right now they are only 15-20 feet long. How deep were you?

we were in a small 12' aluminum. we anchored on the west side of the lake. the wind wasnt bad the whole time we there, so we must have left before it started to blow. the fish were mostly hovering in 20ft.
