The wife and I made our yearly return to South Twin lakes and fished from 5-29 to 6-7 and we were not disappointed as usual we caught lots of planted & native trout in the 10 to 15 inch range trolling 3 colors of leaded line with muddler minnows & Martin reel magics tipped with a worm or power bait. The brook trout fishing was a little slow this year but they are there if you can find them. We have gotten to know some of the locals at the resort over the years (Patty & Kelley) and they convinced us to try Bass Fishing with them and we were rewarded with some very nice largemouth bass. My wife's first fish were 18 & 19 inches and weighed 4.2 & 4.8
pounds they were caught dead sticking with 5 inch watermelon senkos and were very exciting to catch being our first bass ever. There are a lot of large bass being caught there this year and with the generous limits of 15 fish per day it provides a lot of excitement. There is a slot limit of under 12 inches or over 17 inches on the lake and there are lots of fish in this range to be caught. We have included a couple of pictures of our catch over the week
