took the whole family to beaver. went over to the first spot and caught a 10" on my second cast throwing a home made chartreuse wedding ring on 4lb test. After letting him go left the area and trolled the main lake. My daughter hooked another 10" on a chart/ brown wedding ring running right on the surface on 6lb test.
went to the upper lake and snagged a tree the beaver chopped down that was in the channel, lost my brown/ chart wedding ring to a branch as I was trying to manoeuvre the 12' boat through the channel obstacles. Trolled the upper lake and lost my other chart on a big hit at 20ft. That was all I brought with me so called it a day and headed back in. Fishing wasn't the main object, it was being in the boat on the lake, and what a great day to be out!

7-9 boats on the water. half dozen on the shore. water in low 60's. party cloudy but bright sun.
