Tried Silver on Sunday morning with my 3 boys. Was quite a mess as Ive never been to Silver but once a long time ago. I thought all that wood along the far shore would be prime for tigers and bass but I was way wrong. The only thing that wood caught along that entire shore line was my 3 sons lures, even my 5 year olds weedless plastic worm got hung up. Clearly this is an advanced angler section of the lake =). Being on the water with my boys on Fathers day was enough though.
I didn't get much fishing in myself but when I did get a few casts in I was using several different musky killers and a plastic swim bait with no luck other than a shadow I thought might have been a tiger, it only darted up to look and turned off though.
I'll be hitting this lake again with my buddy this weekend I think to work it over a little more professionally. Any advice on the structure of the lake and the hot spots would be killer. I did buzz down to the far end of the lake. Its very shallow and weedy to the point that anything with bare hooks would come back with weeds on it. In some of the really shallow areas we could see LMB swimmin away from us.
