started off at 630 am. water temp hovered around 62dg. spent about 2 hrs making one lap around the lake fishing the docks and shoreline for smallies. used white spinners, senkos, but only had one bite on my shad rapala again. i tossed it into a corner of a dock and just as i thought "there has to be a fish here", i got a great hit that started to pull my line. it was head back under the dock around the pylons and i gave it a decent pull to try and keep the fish from going there. all of the sudden....SNAP! i was too lazy to change my 4lb test to my 10lb test earlier and it cost me. the fish still had the lure in its mouth as all i got back was line. about 15-20 secs later, we heard the fish splash out of the water from under the dock, apparently still trying to get that rapala out of its mouth. not only am i disgusted that i lost a good fish, now that fish is going to have a rough time itself (maybe even die?).

anyways, nothing else for bass, but we did see a handful 1-2lb'ers cruising. started koke fishing in our usual fashion around 830-9am. just a few within the first hour which is VERY UNUSUAL. finally started to get the bite on at the end and we finally limited (15 for the 3 of us) around 11am.

not sure what caused the fishing to slow down so much. no bass, slow koke. maybe the pressure from dads day fishing? moon? weather? dunno
