Nice morning on Ballinger, but a little slow for action, from 7:45am to 1pm. Released three 11-13 inch trout. Missed a couple more. Tried a green wedding ring for a while, behind some pop gear, but only caught one fish on it over about 2 hours. Switched to red after talking with some other boaters having better luck. Then my luck improved getting two more fish and another that I lost when my reel handle got caught in some loose line I had in the boat. Trolled about 1.3-1.4 mph, water temp was about 65 degrees. About 6 other boats out, and maybe a dozen shore/dock anglers. The weather varied quite a bit for sunshine and wind -- no rain!

Did you see or hear of any bass being caught out there, maybe you saw someone hanging out down on the SouthEast cornor where it is all wooded and there are some fallen trees?

Saw a guy in a pontoon boat, fly fishing. He seemed to be working that corner, and the lilypads around the island, I assume for bass. Did not see any caught myself.
