Went out on Fishing Machines boat on Saturday. We started out the day just trying to get some fish in the boat, so caught and released about 20 sunfish.
Then we started for bass. It took a while, but we tried this one dock, and FM quickly got a small bass. A few more casts, then nothing. So we moved on to another dock. It was the dock where FM had caught a five pounder the week before when him and iPodrodder were fishing the same dock out of different boats. So we get out there, start casting, and the man and woman who own the house/dock came out and asked us if we were the ones who caught the 5 pounder last week. FM said yeah, and we continued to fish. They didn't mind us fishing, but we had no luck there.
So we tried a few sets of pads, fallen trees, and more docks with no more luck. Then we found this really cool looking place with a dock on one side, a clearing, then pads on the other side. I casted towards the pads, and FM casted towards the dock.
FM caught another small one, and just as he released it i hooked a small one. No more fish there, so we moved on.
We found this one dock, and skipped our lines underneath it and i quickly caught 3 or 4 more small ones underneath it, and FM caught a couple to.
In the end, i caught 6 and he caught 4 or 5 i think...i just know i got more then him. Nothing special, but i was happy since they were my first bass of the year. Hopefully me and FM will get out there again and catch some nice ones.
