i grew up in mason county and as a kid i did a ton of fishing and a ton of swimming. i had friends that lived out there and we went swimming all the time and fishing from shore and from boats and far back as i can recall the old yuppy #%@^ who "OWN" this lake are real pieces of work first if u stray from the public launch the limerick swat team will be on u like a hawk.. there is a little trail that everyone walks down to the right of the launch but if u don't look like u belong you will be talked to about trespassing and or the sheriff called on u because u want to fish the shoreline. second yes the people that live on the lake will get out in their boats and do just as u say with a smile on their faces because they know that it makes most people not want to return to "THEIR" lake. I'm sorry but i wonder if they know that it is a felony to harass fishermen/hunters while in the act of fishing or hunting maybe someone who really wants to see a change in the treatment of American citizens who pay there fees to fish and abide by the laws will get a game warden out at the lake some time and see how they are breaking the boating laws and such. yes there are tons of reasons lake residents will give (lots of them are valid complaints) you for the way they treat people but plain and simple its against the law and just down right impolite and unsafe... lake limerick is a very nice fishery with a wide variety of fish to select from and it would be nice to be treated like you treat others while you were there wouldn't it? hope to see that i can return to this lake and be treated like a neighbor instead of a jerk some day in the future.
