My cousin, brother and I hit the lake around 6:30 and stayed until about 9:30. There were already a few people at the dock we were gonna fish at but no one had gotten anything so far. The second i was about to cast my line out i saw a huge splash just 10 feet from the dock, so i casted my rig of pink and green power eggs, with 2 ft. leader just past it and instantly got a hit. The fish was so large however, the light line i was using couldn't take it, so it snapped on the set. That really got me pumped but we didn't have any luck for another 2 hours. At around 8:30 I got my second hit, but since the dock is a few feet off the water, the trout fell off the hook as it was wiggling before i could get it up. The 3rd fish i landed though, a nice 13 inch bow. Pretty good day all around. We were the only ones on the dock getting any bites haha it was fairly windy early on though, and that kind of messed our casts up.
