I hit Waiits about 9 am, hoping the fish had woke up. I was float tubing and dragging wollybuggers and Carey specials around. I was marking fish around 10-15 feet deep but they ignored my offerings. After 45 minutes of this I started to target the rising fish. Dries did not work, neither did emergers. I tried the sinking line again, with a carey special and cast to the rise then stripped it fast, without letting it sink. BAM! nice rainbow, 14-15inches. It gave a few spirited jumps and short runs. Water was 59 degrees. I pulled out (due to the fact everyone was bitchin' about how slow it was) considered myself lucky and headed up to another lake I like.
Good luck to all!
