Got in the water at 8am. Winds were calm and sky was clear. Water almost bathtub warm. Fished the south end by the clifts. Caught three rainbows(17,14,11) kick fining a zig zag pattern from about 30yrd to 130yrds away from shore with almost 80 ft of fast sink line and a Electric Bugger(a kind of black woolly bugger w/ metallic blue ribbing, you can get them from swedes fly shop in Spokane). Got all three from 8:30-9am stayed for another hour and a half then headed in. I got about 10 bites that I missed on the bugger. I also tried a olive willie and a green dragon nymph both kick fining at various speeds and vertically as well but only one bite on the green dragon nymph when kick fining. They only seemed to be interested in the bugger when trolled slowly and a fairly erratic motion(due to me being half asleep and some intentional movement). Four others including my dad were out there with no luck that I saw. Good Luck! I'm going to head out to Mcdowell on Wensday w/ my dad and maybe another trip to medical on Tuesday.
