I don't know why I keep going back to Eloika but I do. Bluebird sky, calm wind, warm water temps and endless weeds. I started fishing at about 6:00 AM with purple worms. I would cast onto the lilly pads and walk the bait across the pads till I got to the water. Then I would let it drop into the water. No takes all day. I used my electric trolling motor to get around for about 2 hours, then the weeds completely zapped by battery of any energy. So I rowed the rest of the time. I even tried some top water with a Pop-R. No luck. I talked to one fellow who was using a light green and white spinner bait. He had only caught two by noon. That would have been great for me, but I got SKUNKED! I don't know why I keep going back, but I do. I just like the lake I guess.
