Decided to go out to Pine today and try my luck. I hadn't been here for about a month or so due to fishing the summer steelhead run with great luck. Came out around noon and started trolling plugs and landed two about 14" in about 1.5 hrs and released them. Then I decided to go to a chartreuse double whammy I had been using over in potholes for walleye because I had landed a few trout on it over there. Sure enough they love it here at Pine too. Right away within the next hour I landed three more, released one and kept two for dinner tonight. Both almost 17" and both about two pounds. I was really impressed how colorful and healthy fights they were. All in all a decent day and Pine is still producing.
