Started fishing about 7:30 AM. Considering this is August 3rd I was surprised by the number of people on the water. This is still a busy place.

I was fishing Power Bait just off the bottom. I stay pretty much in the middle channel of the lake. No real reason other than someone recommended it my first time there and it works for me. Over the next 3 hours the action was steady but not frantic. The bites were light, and I lost a lot of bait. The fish were defiantly more aggressive on my earlier trips to West Medical. Regarding my bait color, I tried yellow, green and orange. They all worked about the same. If the fish have a preference they kept it from me. In the end I was able to land 4 fish, 2 14 inches and 2 11 inches. I released all but one of the bigger ones. The Mrs. and I will share that one for dinner.
