Hit Tapps about 0700. Had a new guy start at work last week and he was talking bout fishing so decided I'd take him out this weekend. He caught his first smallie ever and now he's HOOKED! The day started out cool and the fog was pretty thick in some areas of the lake. Water temp has dropped to mid to upper 60's. When we left @ noon surface was 68.7. Good time though! Caught all the smallies on shaky head jigs with either watermellon or cinnamon yamato grubs, twin or single tail didn't really matter. Didn't catch any big fish so no pictures were taken. In all caught 7-8 smallies ranging from 5-15 inches, only three over 10in. Caught 5 rock bass and 1 14in crappie. Great day to be on Tapps traffic wise, fishing, slower than it has been the past couple weeks due to the cold week we just had. Fishing should be hot again come Monday or Tuesday. Rated this a three just because it was great not having to battle water skiers and jet ski's all day long. That in itself made it a good day!
