I took my little buddy Kenny out for his 1st time on fan lake. We launched at 7:45 am on the pontoon kick boats. We each caught 6 fish. 2 perch each and 4 smallies each. Nothing bigger than about 2.5 lbs. All fish were nice. All were also released without injury. Found the fish to be hanging out in about 10-15 feet of water. Most were caught right in the middle of the cut as you get to the back side of the lake. There was a 12foot aluminum with 6 russians in it....catchin and KEEPING 3-5 inch perch. We watch them keep no less that 50 fish. - whatever. Over all, day was pretty good. We were there for about 6 hours. got sunburned like crazy but still had a blast. We went to horseshoe after than and didn't catch a single fish.

Nope they take the sunfish (pumpkinseed, perch) and put em in a slow cooker, and make a paste out of them; it's considered a delicacy, but i hate the overfishing and it pisses me off! :)
