I first had gone down to the beach at Carkeek park.. but there was an amazing amount of fine shredded sea-weed in the water, and impossible to fish a lure.
So I rushed over to Haller lake and through the float tube in. This lake has always completely sucked for me. But tonight on maybe my second cast I had multiple bites. As it turns out I caught 5 dink bass, and actually I think they were babies of dink parents. It's possible I caught the smallest bass I've ever seen. Can't seem to get my camera to download.
I can't say whether they were small mouth or large mouth. At this level of maturity it was hard me to tell. I was fishing a small plastic watermelon colored grub. Then I went to a 5" senko, and had hits on that too. Then it was worm under a bobber, caught some more. It was a beautiful clear night. Two other float tubers fishing. A few swimmers and that is it.
