8/11/2008 5:59:00 PMI live near Ohop and fish it several times each year (mostly for trout and crappie). But catch enough bass to know that it is decent. The larger fish I catch (2-3 lbs) usually are hitting small minnows that I think are a species of shiner. The water is rather murky but the fisheries studies show that the oxygen remains viable very deep in the lake so it is possible that the larger fish may be hanging over structure deeper than most people fish (would make sense on those heavy traffic days too). Just some insight if you come back down again. You may also want to go try Alder as the bays have good largemouth (have taken several nice sized bass and crappie right at the end of the Alder Cutoff Road). Also try Tanwax as suggested. If you get back to Ohop gear your fishing for crappie as there are some real nice ones especially right at dusk.
