Wife and I launched from Willow Bay this morning around 9AM. We fished between Willow Bay and the DNR boat launch. We were using night crawlers and drop shot. I tried jigs and plastics, never had a hit on anything or any color. My Wife kept on drop shotting and kept knocking them dead. We put 25 small mouth bass and a dozen perch in the boat and missed probably another 20. We released everything that we caught because they were all small. Biggest fish we caught was a pound the smallest was smaller than the bait I have used fishing the Great Lakes.
The water temp was 71 degrees. Our best spot was the islands across from where Forshe's used to be as long as the wind was blowing. When the wind stopped so did the bite. We had a pretty good bite going during the light rain too.
All in all we had a blast until we ran out of worms at 5PM.
