Got to Blackman's around 2:30 P.M. terrible fishing, left at 6 without so much as a bite. I was using a pink white and blue powerbait, off the Hill park fishing dock (left side), on a Carolina rig. The guy next to me managed to catch a recently stocked trout, about 3". The water depth off that dock is pretty variable, I was casting 25 yds out toward the middle of the lake.
Oh there were some people swimming and kayaking in the lake, some ladies who were pretty poor parents as they left their children completely alone on the shore several times while swimming or paddling to the other side of the lake, they were also cursing at them and threatened to punish them physically for being near the water without a life jacket. Pretty annoying, they were there the whole time, I assume their swimming a yelling might have spooked the trout.
