I was on the water by 10:30a. A few were on the dock and fishing was slow. After picking Rob's brain for a bit, he put me in the direction directly across from the resort..the water is deeper there he said, and that is where I would find some nice trout. I ended up catching 1, but the bite was slow and several passer bys said they hadn't caught anything either..I decided to troll w/Macks Lure, gold blade and red band..nothing..I even tried silver/blue kwikfish and nothing..I know of a spot kitty corner from the resort that never fails..I ended up with 2 other nice ones right before I had to return the boat rental...I stopped by the dock and talked to several people and the most exciting thing was the otter grabbing a guys fish...the other picture is of my son from Long's Pond in lacey..
ps, these trout were filleted into small slivers and crusted with panko. I fried them golden brown and put them into a soft tortilla...fresh trout taco..and fresh pico de gallo!
