Another good day at Newman Lake. Arrived about 6a.m. My wife and I took a couple friends out fishing for the first time. Everyone caught fish and had a great time! The water temp started out at 78.5 and ended up 83.5. So it was plenty warm! Not to mention it was a HOT day out there!! We ended up retaining 28 crappie. BIG fish fry this weekend! All fish were caught between 11-13ft. Mostly casting and some vertical jigging. No Muskie sightings today. Dang it! All crappie retained were between 9 & 12 inches. Needless to say all the pleasure boaters were out in force by afternoon! So see ya! Until next time...
