I hit the lake this morning at 6am, water temp was about 70* the air slightly cooler. I worked up the west side of the lake (the side that has the 2 resorts, fishing the lily pad beds with the weed less frog and working the docks with a purple worm with no success. There was one other boat on the water at the time, he appeared to be slow trolling for trout and I did not see him land anything. About 10am I nailed a 2-pound large mouth in the cove in the northwest end, I got him on the weed less frog, which I was dragging, slowly across the tops of the pads. About that time the sun came out and so did the water skiers and the wakes they left had the little 10' Livingston I was in bobbing around pretty good so I headed back for the dock and stopped along the way to pluck several Styrofoam cups and plates out of the water. All in all a good day.
