Went to Ocean City this weekend for the last family get away for the year. Decided to hit up Duck Lake for some crappie and bass fishing. The previous year I did pretty good catching crappie, the weather wasn't that great the first couple of days there so I only ended up catching 2 crappie Saturday night before the fog came in real thick and had to call it a night.

woke up Sunday morning and the weather was great clear sky the sun was shinning decided to go back to the lake. Got there around 8 or so in the morning and fished off the dock. Started cranking a jointed shad rap about the third cast got a hit from a LMB that was only about 6 inches long. Then I started to fish for crappie after not much success with bassin'. Started out fishing with a crappie jig under bobber, safe to say that wasn't productive either. After the frustration began to set in along comes a guy down to the dock and says to me "So your the one that I've been pming back and forth, I kinda figured it was you because of the washingonlakes.com license plate frame." it ended up being Coastfishin I sent him a couple of pm's telling him that I have been struggling a little. We sat and talked forever about what was going on with the lake and why it was so slow and also many other things.

Hit the lake later on that night after taking some good info from Coastfishin (thanks Coastfishin appreciate the info) fished from a different dock this time and ended up hooking into some nice crappie ended up hooking into 8 that night, would have caught allot more but my light died on me and after running into a swimming raccoon!???(I made a post on that situation...........LOL) along with the bats flying all around me and the deer that were grazing in the field I decided that the wildlife were telling that I have outwarmed my welcome and called it a night. All in all it was a good trip wished I could have fished a little more but there is always next year.........TIGHT LINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
